in reaction to moonskulled's last post, somewhat.
A man said to the universe:
"Sir, I exist!"
"However," replied the universe,
"The fact has not created in me a sense of obligation.”

Stephen Crane

The photo is about 3 years old now... I remember posting it at si6nifi3r (or did I?) along with a few other sand scribbles (an act that hypnotized me probably more than it should a regular person) that I watched waves wash away.

I didn't mention the references, but this one was somewhat recalling that poem.

That's exactly what happened to me when I read moonskulled's!
She posted the "many red devils ran from my heart" one.
Good stuff we take for granted after a few years.

I vaguely remember you posted a few different ones of these, I'm not sure which account it was on though. Still just as neato now as it was then.
I haven't been to the beach in a long time, years... not actually out on the beach anyway... the last time I attempted to go near one there was practically a hurricane and the sand felt like I was in a sandblaster, I could barely see in front of me. Kind of exhilarating, but not your normal beach trip, that's for sure.

Oh, no, I've never been to one in those conditions... I may have had the chance to, but it would have been hazardous, for sure.

One of the privileges of living on a tiny island is that you're 30 minutes away from a decent beach (max), no matter where you are.

And thanks.

that sentiment describes how i feel about things pretty much in a nutshell.
